Action: Share OPAS School Performance information with teachers. Performances are $1 per student this year.
OPAS provides high quality performances for students to attend as part of a school field trip. Please read through the following information provided by OPAS:
We are so excited to present our Education Outreach series as part of our 53rd season! Attached to this email is the schedule for this year’s performances and attendance confirmation forms for each one. This year there are offerings for 1st, 3rd, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th grade students.
- There will be 4 one-hour performances of each program, with the exception of Artrageous:
- Artrageous will take place in our larger Auditorium, and will only have one day of performances on September 10 at 10:00 AM and 12:45 PM
- All other performances will have 2 days of performances at 10:00 AM and 12:45 PM each day
- The attendance forms must be approved by someone other than the requesting teacher. The form is a fillable pdf. It can either be electronically signed (or printed out and signed) by the authorized campus representative. It should then be saved to your computer and sent to opasworker@tamu.edu as an attachment if you choose to submit via email. You also have the option to either fax (no cover sheet needed) or mail it back.
- Performance time assignment priority will be given to those returning fully completed forms. Please fill out the entire form!
- Please rank all 4 performance times. We will do our best to give you your first choice. If that is not possible, we must refer to your subsequent choices.
- Please do your best to give an accurate count (including teachers/chaperones). You are able to adjust your count by contacting me by the deadline on each form. For space reasons, chaperones should be kept to a minimum and should not bring other children with them.
- Cost –$1 per student. We realize public school funding may be impacted this year and our Education Outreach funds are healthy for now. For that reason, we are reducing the cost this year.
