The Davila UIL academic team has begun practices for UIL events in preparation for the district meet on Saturday, March 28th. Attached is a coaching roster, along with a list of events and their descriptions. As you have time, please read the events pertaining to your subject area, and help us identify scholars who may excel in academic competition. This is an opportunity for scholars to find and use their gifts and talents and have fun competing against school and district peers. Competing at the middle school level will also prepare them for the high school competition, and if they medal at state at the high school level, they’ll win scholarship money!
Feel free to contact coaches with the names of scholars you’re suggesting, and definitely tell those scholars that you see potential in them for specific events– call out their greatness!
