WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!

In addition to being an all-around great guy, Bryan ISD Painter Gilbert Ortega might have a future as an improv actor! Gilbert was tasked with giving an awards speech for his $50 Chick-fil-A gift card award and knocked it out of the park!

He seamlessly handled the curveball of thanking random items that were handed to him in his speech. 😀 Check out the inspiring speech…

Gilbert was selected as this month’s gift card winner for the “Caption This” submission below for a Bryan High Softball homerun celebration that coaches Loren Cooper
and Vinnie Carreon missed because of the engaging conversation below.

Gilbert’s wife Patricia, Bryan ISD administrative assistant, was nice enough to let the Inside Bryan ISD staff know that his gift card selection wasn’t the only milestone he reached this month. On Sept. 18 he turned 50 years young! One of the ways the family celebrated was by putting the Chick-fil-A gift card to good use. Their son Joaquin Ortega was especially appreciative of Gilbert’s gift card win. 😀

Happy birthday, Gilbert! 🎉
