LET’S SETTLE THIS…
Dr. Georgeanna Adams-Molina will be taking over for Dr. Wanda Baker full-time in January when Dr. Baker retires. Please join us in welcoming her to Bryan ISD and thanking Dr. Baker for her faithful service to the district through the years.
Biography
Dr. Adams-Molina grew up in Houston, where she attended the University of Houston to study Spanish Literature. From there, she began her career in education as a bilingual teacher at Houston ISD. Upon earning her first master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University, she was offered a position as an Education Specialist with Education Service Center Region 6 where she began work on a second master’s degree in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University. She received her doctorate from Lamar in 2015 and is arriving at Bryan ISD after serving as Assistant Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer in Buffalo ISD.
When asked what her first impression of Bryan ISD is, she said, “Wow! Dr. Whitbeck, Dr. Ybarra, Dr. Baker, and the whole Bilingual Department have been so kind and accommodating in this new chapter of my life. I have met a multitude of people who are passionate about educating children. You can’t get better than that.”
Welcome to the Bryan ISD Family, Georgeanna!

WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!
Macie Rains, SFA Odyssey Academy science teacher, won $50 worth of Chick-fil-A food in last month’s newsletter contest! Looks can be deceiving, but it seems like she decided to share some of the winnings with her SFA colleagues and Dr. Whitbeck. In other news, we’ve heard reports that Naveen Cunha, Odyssey coordinator, suspects Bucky the Bronco of nabbing one of his nuggets. We’ll keep you posted as this story develops. Anyway, congrats, Macie!
