EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Bryan ISD employees are encouraged to volunteer in our school district during the day, after-hours or on weekends. School events, family nights and Read by 3rd events are all excellent opportunities to volunteer.

Our goal is one-hour per person, which will create an immeasurable impact on the lives of our students. When you volunteer, please let us know about it through the link below. This is important so we meet a goal of the Bryan ISD Board of Trustees. Past volunteer hours can also be recorded in the link below.

HONORING MIKE KRISTYNIK & BECKY SEALE

A highlight of the Bryan ISD CTE Complex (CTEC) Dedication on Oct. 20, 2019, was the unveiling of framed photos that will be located in the CTEC buildings that are named in honor of the longtime educators. View the speeches from Mike Kristynik and Becky Seale’s husband Hugh in the video below.

LOVE CONNECTIONS AT SFA MIDDLE SCHOOL

Have you seen the latest issue of Brazos Valley Bride? It features the love story of Rose Kana, an SFA social science teacher. She met her husband Matthew when he was a teacher at SFA before becoming a coach in Snook ISD. It’s always great to see members of the Bryan ISD family forming families of their own. You can pick up an issue of the magazine from the many stands around our community or read the Kana’s story below.

This month’s $50 Chick-fil-A gift card winner is Teri Clark, Bowen art teacher! We’ll deliver your gift card soon. Teri responded to the September Inside Bryan ISD invitation to employees to submit a photo of themselves doing something interesting outside of work. Here’s what Teri said about her photo:

“Here I am…in my happy place…any where I can get away for the weekend to wet a hook! I unplug hang out on the waters edge and just relax.  No need to actually catch anything…I refer to it as my duty to feed to fish!”
