{"id":1779,"date":"2020-09-18T12:30:56","date_gmt":"2020-09-18T17:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.bryanisd.org\/textribune\/?p=1779"},"modified":"2020-09-14T17:14:47","modified_gmt":"2020-09-14T22:14:47","slug":"bisd-education-foundation-grants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bryanisd.org\/textribune\/2020\/09\/18\/bisd-education-foundation-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"BISD Education Foundation Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Teachers Grant Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Purpose:<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>To provide funding for\nstudent educational enrichment programs for the classroom and\/or for larger\ngroups of students within the District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission Date: <\/strong>Applications must be\nsubmitted by <strong>4 p.m.<\/strong> on <strong>October 5, 2020.<\/strong> <strong>Late applications will not be\naccepted.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Implementation Period: <\/strong>Grant Patrol will be awarding\nin October<strong> <\/strong>for implementation during the 2020\u2013 2021 school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selection Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Priority will be given to programs designed to involve one or more\nof the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Incorporating alternative learning strategies;<\/li><li>Representing creative teaching ideas; <\/li><li>Representing innovative approaches to the accomplishment of objectives; <\/li><li>Motivating students and activating their eagerness to be life-long learners.<\/li><li>Sound evaluation procedures must be incorporated in the proposal<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selection Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Application forms are available on the Bryan ISD Education\nFoundation website. Technology\nitems must be compatible with District guidelines and approved by Executive\nDirector of Technology.<\/li><li>Print a copy of each for your principal to sign. <\/li><li>Scan and send to h.francis@bryanisd.org.<\/li><li>Applications will be screened for the degree of compatibility with\nDistrict goals, existing programs, and representation of best practices, and\nprocessed by a grant judging committee.<\/li><li>The Foundation Grants and Projects Committee will make the final\ndetermination of grants to be funded.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Grant funds may not be used for: <ul><li>Staff salary or personal honorarium for the applicant,<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Expansion and\/or maintenance of previous grants <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Field trips<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Items included in regular budgetary funds (school supplies, kit\nreplacement items, snacks, T-shirts, etc.)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Grant proceeds must be\nencumbered by November 16, 2020<\/strong>; otherwise, money will be returned to the Bryan ISD Foundation.<\/li><li>Only one grant per teacher and\/or one grant per grade-level team on\na campus will be awarded.<\/li><li>Use size 10 font to enter your information.<\/li><li>If this proposal represents a request from a group of teachers,\nselect <strong>one <\/strong>person\nand enter that name as \u201cContact Person for Grant.\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities\nof Grant Recipients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Use the award as approved in the grant proposal.<\/li><li><strong>Submit final evaluation of\ngrant by May 7, 2021<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Share successful ideas in staff development sessions if asked.<\/li><li>Contact the Bryan ISD Communications Office when you have items or\nactivities that might be of interest to the community.&nbsp; We like to brag!<\/li><li>Invite Bryan ISD Education Foundation Board Members to visit your\nclassroom during implementation when appropriate.<strong> <\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;Teachers Grant Guidelines Purpose: To provide funding for student educational enrichment programs for the classroom and\/or for larger groups of students within the District.
