Mrs. Mathai & Mrs. Sericano-Sewell – Thanks for all of your help in testing new scholars for NAC. Every scholar, whose\u00a0first language is not English must be tested when they arrive on campus. Scholars are testing in English and if their\u00a0native language is Spanish, they also test in Spanish.\u00a0 We have tested over 30 scholars already this year. Thanks, ladies for being so helpful for our scholars.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you so much for letting us come visit your classroom for the learning walk on Tuesday! I think this was an incredibly beneficial opportunity for our new SAILS teachers. You did an amazing job during each lesson working with your students to provide quality instruction to meet each student’s needs. During the learning walk, we were able to observe instruction, transitions, differentiation, small group rotations, effective use of staff, as well as the use of visual supports (reinforcement menu, CHAMPS, I Can statements.) I am also very appreciative that you took the time to talk to us during your conference. The new SAILS teachers benefitted from the opportunity to ask you questions. You also provided us with a great deal of information about the structures and routines in place in your classroom, how you plan lessons, and how you’ve built rapport with your students and instructional assistants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
