Did you know that grants have been created in response to COVID? Many of them are for schools with a high percentage of disadvantaged students. The following are two grants that might be useful for our Texans:
Grantname | Description | Website |
ILA Regie Routman Teacher Recognition Grant | This grant provides $2,500 for elementary or middle school teachers. At least 60 percent of pupils must qualify for free or reduced lunch. According to the Computers for Learning website, “a school is eligible to receive donations… if it is public, private, or parochial, serving pre-kindergarten through grade 12 students.” | ILA Regie Routman Teacher Recognition Grant Deadline: June 1 of each year |
Walmart Local Community grants | This grant provides anywhere from $250 to $5000 for schools with financial need. | Walmart Local Community Grants Deadline: December 31, 2020 |
