COVID Grants…Really!

Almost overnight, COVID has forced education to become technology-centric.  As a result, funding for more technology in schools has become an issue nationwide.

Did you know that grants have been created in response to COVID?  Many of them are for schools with a high percentage of disadvantaged students.  The following are two grants that might be useful for our Texans:

This grant provides $2,500 for
elementary or middle school
teachers.  At least 60 percent of
pupils must qualify for free or
reduced lunch. 

According to the Computers
for Learning website, “a school
is eligible to receive donations…
if it is public, private, or parochial,
serving pre-kindergarten
through grade 12 students.”
