It gives us a lot of valuable information on what your child will need to be prepared for end of the year academic success.  The data we gain from this test will help us design targeted and personal interventions for your child.  In 5th grade, the state puts a lot of emphasis on academic preparedness and readiness, as measured by the STAAR test.  This benchmark allows us to gain some insight into exactly what your child needs to be ready.
