Thank you for all your patience and understanding as we had students learning procedures and routines, and had two rainy day dismissals.  We have never had dismissal go that quickly during the first week so we are grateful that everyone is following our lines and respecting the flow of traffic.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are just a few pieces of important info that will help us in the coming months at school:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Attendance: <\/span><\/strong> If your child is absent, please email our attendance clerk to excuse the absence at <a href=\"mailto:rayburn.attendance@bryanisd.org\">rayburn.attendance@bryanisd.org<\/a>.<\/li><li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Cafeteria: <\/span><\/strong> Lunch menus can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolcafe.com\/BryanISD\">https:\/\/www.schoolcafe.com\/BryanISD<\/a>.  You can view as a guest or create an account.<\/li><li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Transportation Changes:<\/span><\/strong> Requests for change must be either communicated in writing to one of your child&#8217;s teachers &#8211;OR&#8211; emailed from one of the guardian&#8217;s listed email addresses.  Also, if a change is needed for the same day of notification, it must be received by 2:00 p.m.<\/li><li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Dismissal:<\/span><\/strong>  Our doors lock at 3:00 p.m. for safety reasons and to allow us time to prepare for dismissal.  If you have an appointment, you must either pick up your child from school prior to 3:00 or after 3:20 dismissal in the car rider line.<\/li><li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">BISD&#8217;s student phone use policy<\/span><\/strong> (as described in the BISD Student Handbook, pg. 48):&nbsp; &#8220;For safety purposes, the district permits students to possess personal mobile telephones; however, these devices must not be visible during the instructional day, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes.&#8221; &#8220;If a student uses a telecommunications device without authorization during the school day, the device will be confiscated.&#8221; &#8220;The parent or student may pick up the confiscated telecommunications device from the principal\u2019s office upon receipt of payment. A fee of $15 will be charged for all confiscated telecommunication devices.&#8221;  Parents &amp; Guardians &#8211; if you have an emergency message for your child, please call 209-6600 and we will get the message to them.&nbsp; Please do not text or call your child on their cell phone while in class.  This is very disruptive and interrupts their learning.<\/li><li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Car Riders and Walkers<\/span><\/strong> (for rainy days):  Make sure you sign up for your car tag if you haven&#8217;t yet! Gracias por toda su paciencia y comprensi\u00f3n, ya que ten\u00edamos a los estudiantes aprendiendo procedimientos y rutinas, y tuvimos dos despidos en d\u00edas lluviosos.
