Here is this week’s Rayburn information:

Student Picture day: If you’d like to order student photos, here is the online ordering link. Paper copies of the order form go home today! Pictures will be taken during the PE period on Monday, the 19th!

Student Tardies and Check-Out early policies: Tardies will begin being counted on Tuesday, Sep. 6th. All students should be dropped off and walk into the building before 7:35 a.m. Our front doors open at 7:00 a.m. Tardies will be marked for any student walking into the building at 7:36 or later. 1st period lost instructional minutes add up and contribute to truancy. Also, checking out your child early will lead to the accumulation of lost instructional minutes in 5th period, which also contributes to truancy. Transition tardies between classes will be marked by teachers and any patterns in tardies will be communicated by teachers directly to parents and guardians.
Student Dress Code: We follow the BISD Dress and Grooming Policy, located in the Student Handbook, pp. 47-48. This week, if your student arrives at school out of the dress code, we will call you to bring a change of clothes. Next week they will be sent to our DMC room until you can arrive. We will also send a note home with the explicit rule highlighted to help you identify what clothes are appropriate.

Politicas sobre llegando tarde a la escuela y saliendo temprano: Las tardanzas comenzarán a ser contadas el martes, 6th de septiembre. Todos los estudiantes deben de llegar y entrar a la escuela antes de las 7:35 a.m. Nuestras puertas delanteras se abren a las 7:00 a.m. Tardanzas serán marcados para cualquier estudiante que entra en el edificio a las 7:36 o más tarde. Los minutos de instrucción perdidos en período 1 suman y contribuyen al ausentismo escolar. También, si saca su hijo temprano, la acumulación de minutos de instrucción perdidos en el período 5, lo cual también contribuye al ausentismo escolar. Las tardanzas de transición entre clases serán marcadas por los maestros y cualquier patrón en tardanzas será comunicado por los maestros directamente a los padres y tutores.
Código de Vestimenta Estudiantil: Seguimos la Política de Vestimenta y Acomodación de BISD, localizada en el Manual del Estudiante, pp. 47-48. Esta semana, si su estudiante llega a la escuela fuera del código de vestimenta, le llamaremos para traer una muda de ropa. La próxima semana se enviarán a nuestra habitación DMC hasta que pueda llegar. También enviaremos una nota a casa con la regla explícita resaltada para ayudarle a identificar qué ropa es apropiada.
