From our counselor, Ms. Rains: Howdy Raiders,The M.A.S.H. Toy Drive is underway! Please fill out the attached WISH list form to sign up for the toy drive. You can take a picture of the completed form and email to renae.rains@bryanisd.org, return the form to your child’s teacher, or drop the form by the front office @ Rayburn Intermediate School. Forms must be returned by October 23rd before 4:00pm. Please help us Make a Smile Happen this Christmas season!
RISE Up awards started last week! You have raised some amazing kiddos and we want to celebrate all their hard work. At Rayburn, we do something called a RISE Up award. Each week, teachers nominate outstanding students who either demonstrate one of our Essential 8 character traits (kindness, tolerance, gratitude, philanthropy, work ethic, optimism, courage, leadership) or a Rayburn RISE Up behavior expectation (act Responsibly, act with Integrity, Speak appropriately, give best Effort). If your child is nominated, they get a yellow RISE Up certificate to bring home and share with you. Then, every Wednesday, I will draw from all the nominations, and one lucky student will win a special Essential 8 Rayburn T-shirt! I’ll also ask your permission to post your child’s picture on our website and social media pages to celebrate their accomplishments!
