Hello Raider Families!

I just want to reach out to keep you all in the loop regarding what this week will look like.

The original communication sent to all families from the district, and Dr. Whitbeck, can be found here: https://www.bryanisd.org/apps/news/article/1182557

In regards to Rayburn specifically, please know a couple of things:

  1. Prior to the break, we ordered new heavy-duty soap dispensers for all of our restrooms. Restrooms are stocked with soap and paper towels.
  2. All classrooms will be given hand sanitizer, if needed.
  3. All classrooms have disinfectant and cleaning cloths for daily cleaning needs.
  4. Our building is going through intense cleaning and disinfecting this week. We performed a smaller scale of this on January 22nd and 23rd to help thwart the spread of germs during regular flu season.
  5. All BISD students have access to a “grab and go” lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 16-20 at Bryan High School, Long Intermediate, Rayburn Intermediate and Kemp-Carver Elementary School. Families may choose any of these four locations.
  6. Reach out to your child’s teachers if you have any specific questions about their classrooms or access to lessons and curriculum.
  7. Feel free to gift teachers with hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, Lysol, or Kleenex/tissue. Those are items that teachers often purchase out of their own pockets because we can never get enough.
  8. Follow Rayburn’s social media accounts, for fun activities and learning opportunities throughout the week.
  9. I, Mrs. Ryberg, will be on campus Monday. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at (979) 209-6600, or email me directly, at rebecca.ryberg@bryanisd.org.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make decisions in the best interest of our kids.

Becky Ryberg 🙂
