On Friday, July 29, 65 Mentor Coordinators were trained in the Ginger Tucker First Year Teacher Induction Program model. These coordinators were selected by their campus principals as the teachers leaders who will take responsibility for the induction of our new staff at all 23 campuses. As they were empowered throughout that day with the knowledge of what new teachers need that first year in Bryan ISD, their excitement began to grow and grow, and they left the training ready to embrace each new hire on their campuses.
The best part of this training is that our New Teacher Induction in Bryan ISD will now occur at the campus level– right where the new teachers need it. They will receive very timely and very relevant support, all designed to meet their individual needs!! Our Mentor Coordinators are some of our very best teachers in Bryan ISD and now they will be the ones empowering others toward that same level of greatness! If you don’t know who they are, ask your campus leaders. These teachers will be great resources for so many of you this year!
