We wanted to clearly outline the changes we\u2019ve made to SpringBoard Digital to make it easier to use with the systems you already have in place. Please share this information with your teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Support for SpringBoard Digital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access step-by-step directions\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/springboard.collegeboard.org\/springboard-digital\/support\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>on how to use SpringBoard Digital by going to:\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/springboard.collegeboard.org\/springboard-digital\/support\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/springboard.collegeboard.org\/springboard-digital\/support<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Revised Landing Page<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The landing page now provides easy access to your eBook and a more intuitive way to move throughout the&nbsp;SpringBoard&nbsp;Digital program. With the improved user experience, teachers will be able to:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Share\u00a0SpringBoard\u00a0content through Google Classroom,\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><li>Better navigate from class to class,\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><li>Get easier access to our partners&#8217; content, and much more.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Improved Navigation<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout\u00a0the\u00a0new\u00a0SpringBoard\u00a0Digital experience, teachers always maintain a simple way to access their eBook, Assessments, Professional Learning, and Additional Resources based upon their class and the class&#8217;s corresponding entitled products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assigning Activities,\u00a0Assessments\u00a0&amp; Gradebook\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers want to use the Learning Management System (LMS) supported by their district. To streamline this process,&nbsp;SpringBoard&nbsp;Digital now supports sharing activities and assessments through Google Classroom, and integrating with Schoology and Canvas.&nbsp;If you need support in using your LMS, we recommend the following resources:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Google Classroom Help:\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/edu\/classroom\/?hl=en#topic=6020277\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/support.google.com\/edu\/classroom\/?hl=en#topic=6020277<\/a>\u00a0<\/li><li>Canvas Help:\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/<\/a>\u00a0<\/li><li>Schoology Help:\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.schoology.com\/hc\/en-us\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/support.schoology.com\/hc\/en-us<\/a>\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable teachers who use an alternative LMS to assign activities and assessments, we are actively working on a solution to allow teachers to copy an assignment link that could be opened only by those students rostered in their class within\u00a0SpringBoard\u00a0Digital. Like with Google Classroom, students will need to be logged in to SpringBoard Digital to access the assignment through a copied link. A notification will be posted in SpringBoard Digital when this functionality is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>eBook\u00a0Activities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers can assign an\u00a0eBook\u00a0activity through sharing a link to that activity directly through Google Classroom, or through Schoology\/Canvas.\u00a0eBook users will also be able to \u201cCopy Link to Clipboard\u201d to share with\u00a0students\u00a0in an application of their choosing. Students\u00a0are still\u00a0also\u00a0able to access and respond to eBook questions without\u00a0creating\u00a0an assignment, and teachers can view those\u00a0student responses by accessing that student\u2019s eBook through the dropdown menu available.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desmos Activities (Math only) and student-facing Teacher Resources will be assigned using the \u201cShare to Google Classroom\u201d or \u201cCopy Link to Clipboard\u201d (coming soon) features within SpringBoard Digital.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assessments<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers can assign an assessment through sharing a link to that assessment directly through Google Classroom, or through Schoology\/Canvas. If assigned through Schoology\/Canvas, the progress reports can be viewed within the respective LMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gradebook<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we are now integrating with district LMS, we\u2019ve removed the Gradebook within&nbsp;SpringBoard&nbsp;Digital.&nbsp;&nbsp;Teachers can see the results from specific assessments within the Progress Reports area of SpringBoard Digital. If using Google Classroom, teachers can release results to students by accessing the Progress Report for an assessment and clicking on the button \u201cRelease Grades\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to provide feedback to students on a given lesson, teachers are encouraged to add annotations within&nbsp;SpringBoard&nbsp;Digital and to utilize other LMSs for scoring\/assignment flows.&nbsp;Teachers can no longer provide an overall&nbsp;score for an activity within&nbsp;SpringBoard&nbsp;Digital; this approach aligns with our&nbsp;pedagogical&nbsp;approach&nbsp;that activities are not a means for measuring student&nbsp;performance, but an opportunity for learning and formative assessment.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Access Teacher Resources for the Courses Above and Below your Course<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teacher accounts now have\u00a0a\u00a0\u201cSample Class\u201d which allow teachers access to all books within their district. Teachers can also add above and below grade-level books to their class to provide access to their students. Depending on the district set-up of\u00a0SpringBoard, you may need to contact your District Administrator in order to add these resources to your class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Community<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The majority of our teachers were accessing the Community in order to use support resources for SpringBoard Digital. However, to access those support resources, you had to be logged into SpringBoard Digital.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have moved our SpringBoard Digital Support to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/springboard.collegeboard.org\/springboard-digital\/support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/springboard.collegeboard.org\/springboard-digital\/support<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; our SpringBoard public website. This allows all teachers to access support for SpringBoard Digital. Additionally, we\u2019ve improved the support provided, making it more intuitive to use.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have removed the Community from\u00a0SpringBoard\u00a0Digital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>English Language Arts-Specific Updates<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teacher and Student Books: PDF<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teacher\u00a0and student\u00a0copies of the books will be available as PDFs within the Table of Contents in the\u00a0eBook.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math-Specific Updates\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math\u00a0eBook\u00a0Tools<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SpringBoard\u00a0now provides access to Desmos Geometry\u00a0Tools\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0Desmos\u00a0Graphing\u00a0Calculator directly from the landing page.\u00a0Desmos Calculators (four-function, scientific, and graphing)\u00a0are\u00a0also available within the math eBook\u00a0and\u00a0are\u00a0the primary set of math tools now available\u00a0there.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have transitioned away from&nbsp;Geogebra&nbsp;Tools as Desmos Geometry provides the most utilized resources from&nbsp;Geogebra&nbsp;as well as a consistent experience for teachers and students.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Desmos Activity Tab<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming soon!&nbsp; Desmos Classroom Activities will be available to teachers on the landing page as a tab in their top navigation. Activities will be assignable within SpringBoard Digital through &#8220;Share to Google Classroom&#8221; or &#8220;Copy Link to Clipboard&#8221;, which can be shared via any LMS. Students will need to be logged in to SpringBoard Digital to access the Desmos Activity assignment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please log in to SpringBoard Digital&nbsp;to see all there is to offer.
