On FRIDAY, May 14th all freshmen enrolled Algebra I will take the STAAR Algebra I EOC in-person on the Bryan Collegiate campus.
- Students should arrive on campus at 7:45am and check into their testing room no later than 8:05am.
- Students MUST bring their fully charged school issued laptop and charger for the day of testing.
- Students who do not have a BISD computer, should stop by the front office and checkout a Chromebook on the morning of testing.
- Students should bring a novel to read in case they finish testing early.
- Students should complete a full shutdown and restart of their school computer while on-campus before testing starts (a couple of days before testing would be good), so that all necessary updates are made to the computer. Students will need to accept the updates or computers may not work properly, or the Texas Assessment App needed for testing may not appear on the desktop.
- Breakfast and lunch will be made available for every student who requests one.
- Testing room rosters will be posted outside of the GO Center and in the Cafeteria.
- Students will have 4 hours to complete the exam, and most students will finish testing by noon.
- The STAAR test is an important exam, and students must take it and pass to graduate from high school.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Bechuck in the Bryan Collegiate office.
