What did you major in at your college/university? I earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. I am also currently enrolled at Johns Hopkins University working on a Masters of Science in Research Administration.

What are you doing now? I am currently working at Texas A&M University Sponsored Research Services Department under the Division of Research. I am a Senior Proposal Administrator I and Team Lead, supporting a small team of other Proposal Administrators responsible for assisting faculty and researchers at the University and other System Members with the preparation of proposal budgets, compilation of proposal components, and finally, the submission of those proposals for Federal, State, and other agencies that fund research.

What would you like to tell current Bryan Collegiate students?
My advice to current BCHS students…lots! Don’t be discouraged when things don’t go as planned: grades, career, life. Give yourself the grace and understanding you need to pivot. Amazing things can occur out of what seems to be the end of something, or the downfall of something. Have faith in yourself that you are adaptable.
