Hello Panthers!
We are so excited to meet you all this week, whether it is online or in person, we will be a great team and it will be the best year yet at Bryan Collegiate! In this week’s newsletter, we are sharing all the information you’ll need to know to get started on Thursday, August 20th. If I forget something, I may need to send another message later in the week, but it will just be an email. Below is some important information for everyone:
Cafeteria App: https://www.schoolcafe.com/BryanISD. On this app, you can register for free/reduced meals, pay your child’s balance, or see nutritional info.
Visitors will not be allowed to enter the building unless they have a previously scheduled appointment with a staff member. Parents will not be allowed to eat lunch with their students or bring them lunch.
In getting ready for school, we have taken additional measures on the Bryan Collegiate campus to keep students and staff safe. Some of those additional measures are listed below:
- A third lunch period has been added to allow for more social distancing during lunches.
- The cafeteria has been rearranged and seats have been marked to create the ability for students to socially distance while they eat.
- An additional eating space has been added for use if necessary.
- Extra furniture throughout the building has been removed to allow more space in classrooms and common areas.
- Signage has been placed in common areas such as hallways, bathrooms, and the cafeteria to remind students of the mask policy, social distancing, and proper hand washing.
- Hallways have been divided to allow for organized traffic flow and social distancing.
- Hand sanitation stations have been placed throughout the hallways and building and stocked with hand sanitizer for students to use as needed.
- Fridays have been designated as online learning days for all students to allow for additional cleaning of classrooms and minimize the number of students in the building at one time.
It is going to be a great year, and please know that we are working tirelessly to provide a safe environment so that students can learn face-to-face or online. Thank you for your continued support!
